This VHF FM Man pack radio is for use mainly at company/platoon level. It is relatively light weight and is therefore used more by the parachute regiments and in light vehicles. UK/PRC-350 Ancills

The UK/PRC-350 has a frequency range of 36.000 to 56.975 MHz in 25KHz Steps, providing 840 channels for use.

Power Supply

The 350 operates with a 15V battery unique to this radio. The battery will last 12 hours on a 1:9 Tx/Rx Ratio.

RF Output

This radio operates using narrow band voice FM. The power output is fixed at 2W. UK/PRC-350

Antennas and Ranges

The PRC-350 is most likely to be used with either 1.2m whip, 1.2m trailing wire, 1.2m Ground Spike Antenna (GSA) or indeed vehicle mounted. Typical ranges that may be expected from the 1.2m whip are as follows:
