The Corps Colours

The UK Vehicle Radio Communicator 321 is a vehicle mounted HF radio often found joined by the Selector Unit Radio Frequency (SURF) and Tuning Unit Radio Frequency (TURF) in a three piece assembly. These are more commonly found in the back of Landrovers and many other military vehicles.

Frequency Range

The UK/VRC-321 has a frequency range of 1.5 to 29.9999 Mhz in 100Hz steps, providing 285,000 possible channels for use.

Power Supply

The 321 operates with either 2x12V batteries or with a single 24V or 28V battery.

RF Output and Modes of Operation

This is very similar to the PRC-320 and as a HF radio includes Single Side Band (SSB), Amplitude Modulation (AM) and Continuous Wave (CW) modes of operation.
